With a background in construction management, marketing, CAD, and R&D, Al Stearns joined the AROCON team in December of 2013. He was quickly promoted to Operations Manager of AAROCON Design-Build, where he focuses on ordering materials for projects and organizing the schedule for all phases of the construction process. Prior to joining Arocon, Al worked in a commercial construction office beginning in 2005 after graduating high school, where he started as an administrative assistant before being promoted to a recruiter within three months of working there after his managers recognized his ability to quickly learn the technical information necessary to test potential employees. While working at the commercial construction company the owner started a residential remodeling company in 2008 in which Al was in charge of all office coordinations and design work.
Al taught himself how to use CAD so that he would be able to show potential clients what their homes would look like after remodeling, and for permit acquisition purposes. In addition, from 2009 to 2013, Al managed the office employees of the company's newest venture, roll-off dumpsters and developed essential systems to run the operation efficiently. In his free time, Al loves expressing his creative side through graphic design and enjoys studying the sciences, particularly theoretical physics because of his passion for understanding how things work.
